Following a rich and rewarding career in architecture and design, Maged Kamal, decided to take a break and pursue an idea that he slowly nurtured over time: to put all the inspirations, memories, and recipes that he had accumulated and developed over the years of visiting, travelling (and for a while) living in Europe, into this new and exciting project, the Orange Turtle Bakery!

Located in downtown Ottawa, Canada’s capital, it would be a contemporary space with the intention of getting back to the traditions of bakery cafes, where people socialized over quality baked goods, great coffee, music, and art in a casual and relaxing atmosphere - celebrating culture, while fostering community through good food.
